Juhud al-Malikiyyah fi Taqrir Tawhid al-’Ibadah

One should know that the issue of whether the dead hear or not is a matter of the unseen, among the matters of al-barzakh (the phase between Death and Resurrection) that only the Almighty Allah knows, so it is not permissible to delve into it with analogy and self-opinions; this is rather a matter settled with firmly established evidence to either prove or negate it.
The reader will see that the author, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned in the first chapter the opinion of the Hanafi School that the dead do not hear the living; and in the second chapter he reported that scholars from other schools said similarly, but there are others who claimed that the dead can hear the living.
This book by Shaykh Abu al-Barakat Nu'man al-Alusi (1317H) (son of Mahmud al-Alusi, the author of the Tafsir Ruh al-Ma'ani), is presented here with the Tahqiq and notes by Shaykh al-Albani.
