المحدثون من جماعة أهل الحديث في الهند وجهودهم في الحديث النبوي - سيد عبد الماجد الغوري
The Scholars of Hadith in India and their Rigorous Efforts in the Prophetic Hadith - Sayyid Abdul Majid al-Ghouri
At the beginning of this book, the author has introduced the “Ahl al-Hadith” group with a broad definition that it first appeared at the end of the thirteenth century AH in India, and that it was known for its call to adhere to the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, abandoning the tradition of following a particular School of thought, reviving neglected traditions (Sunnah), and abandoning the heresies and superstitions prevalent among the Muslims in that country. Then he wrote the biographies of many Hadith scholars belonging to this group, praising their scientific efforts in the field of Prophetic Hadith, through teaching, authorship, explanation, verification and translation.
Then he mentioned the scientific biographies of six of the most famous Muhadditheen belonging to this group, who made an effective scientific contribution in serving the Prophet’s Hadith from its various aspects, as well as in carrying out the Prophetic Hadith renaissance in this country, and they are: Amir Siddiq Hasan Khan al-Qannawjī, Sheikh Muhammad Nazir Hussain Al-Dahlawi, Sheikh Shams-ul-haq Azimabadi, Sheikh Waheed Al-Zaman Al-Laknawi, Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Rahman Mubarakpuri, and Sheikh Ubayd Allah Mubarakpuri ar-Rahmani. Then the author mentioned their distinguished scientific efforts in this field, all in a spirit of moderation and fairness, and with honest and constructive scientific criticism.
