Collection of poems (Qasidah) on the biography of the Prophet ﷺ

This is a collection of Rajaz poetry (prosody) and other short poems on the biography of the beloved Prophet Muhammad - may Allah’s Prayers and Peace be upon him-, composed by a group of jurists, who took into account in their praise of the Prophet not to exaggerate in describing his major character traits and merits. It includes:

• The Poem of Dar Al-Habib” by Abdullah Al-Biskri (d. 713 AH). 

• “The 100 Verse Rajaz Poem” by Abu Al-Walid Al-Halabi (d. 815 AH).

• “A Poem on the Migration of the Prophet” Ibn Nasir ad-Din ad-Dimashqi (d. 842 AH). 

• “A Poem on the Names of Al-Mustafa (the Prophet)”by Al-Balqini (d. 713 AH). 

• “A Poem on the Mission of the Prophet” by Ibn Al-Diba’i (d. 944 AH). 

• «A Rajaz Poem on the Names of the Prophet” by Al-Ghazi (d. 984 AH). 

• “A Rajaz Poem on the Important Aspects in the Prophet’s Biography” by Al-Fassi (d. 1100 AH). 

• “A Rajaz Poem from Halab on the Biography of the Prophet” by Al-Qustantini (d. 1190 AH). 

• “A Rajaz Poem on the Sublime Qualities of the Prophet” by Abdullah As-Salem Al-Hasani (died 1353 A.H). 

• “A Brief Rajaz Poem on the Incidents of the Migration Period” by Abdullah bin Sa’eed Al-Lahji Al-Hadhrami and then Al-Makki (d. 1410 AH).

The Tahqiq is serious and for each poem there are photos of the manuscripts, useful annotations and finally an Ijaza to fill in for those who wish to memorise the poems.
