The Huffadh al-Wahyayn Center wanted to select a book from those that combine Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. So they studied ten books in this field and concluded that the best book for combining the Sahihayn is the work of Abdul Haqq al-Ishbili, a famous book praised by many scholars.
Al-Ishbili's method in his book is as follows: he primarily relied on the wording of Muslim's narrations, removed the chains of transmission but kept the narrator and companion, and omitted repeated narrations. He maintained the order of Sahih Muslim, then compared it with Bukhari's narrations, adding comments and sometimes additional information.
As for the researchers at Huffadh al-Wahyayn Center, they took Al-Ishbili’s book and made the following modifications: they removed Al-Ishbili’s commentary, retained the wording of Sahih Muslim, and highlighted any additions from Sahih Bukhari in red. If Muslim had another version of the narration, they indicated it in green. They divided the book into three sections: the first section contains what the two Sahihayn agreed upon (in three volumes), the fourth volume covers what is unique to Bukhari, and the fifth volume covers what is unique to Muslim.
