Efforts of Sheikh Muqbil bin Hadi al-Wadi'i in Establishing the Creed of the Salaf and Refuting Opponents by Jalal As-Sabihi.
Introducing the efforts of scholars to the Ummah is a duty carried out by their capable students and admirers. Muqbil al-Wadi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, was a contemporary scholar who made extensive efforts to revive Islamic knowledge in Yemen. He had a significant role in establishing the Creed of the Salaf, on one hand, and in refuting opponents, on the other. He was among the first to respond to newly emerging ideologies such as socialism, Nasserism, liberalism, and Freemasonry. He authored numerous writings and delivered many lessons on this topic, and he held well-known positions regarding various groups, responding to them and highlighting their errors.
The author provides a biography of the Sheikh and then mentions the principles of Aqeedah according to Sunnah. He proceeds to discuss Sheikh al-Wadi'i's efforts in defending the Creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, whether in his published books, manuscripts, scattered letters, or recorded lectures and lessons. The book compiles all this material, extracting its content into a comprehensive scholarly study. In the second half of the book, the author focuses on Sheikh al-Wadi'i's efforts in refuting opponents, particularly those present in Yemen in his era, such as the Batiniyyah, Jarudiyyah, Zaydiyyah, and others.
