Tafsir ibn Juzay - Tashil al-Ulum at-Tanzil

The book is about the interpretation of the Noble Qur’an and all other related sciences. The author has taken a beneficial course by making it a concise summary, discussing four purposes that include four benefits:

The first benefit: Collecting a great amount of sciences in a small book for the convenience of students, and bringing it closer to those interested. This book contains what was included in the long collections of science, but only after summarizing, scrutinizing and revising their chapters, and deleting their redundant and useless materials. The author has included in it every essential discipline of the science of the Qur’an, without excess or negligence; then he was determined to shorten the phrase, summarizing as much as possible and avoiding lengthening and repetition.

The second benefit: He has mentioned wonderful wits and great benefits that are rarely found in a book, which he has adopted from his scholars, may Allah be pleased with them, or from what he has collected from rares stories.

The third benefit: clarifying the problems, either by solving intricate issues or by using expressive language, raising the possibilities and clarifying the summaries.

The fourth benefit: Examining the good and bad statements of exegetes, and distinguishing the most correct from the probable.
