The Encyclopaedia of Jurisprudence is the most comprehensive jurisprudence encyclopaedia in the modern era. Its volume count has so far reached 45 large-format volumes, and it has been classified in the form of terms, grouped in lexical (alphabetical) order and it contains 200,000 references.
The Kuwaiti Encyclopaedia of Islamic Jurisprudence contains 3,000 jurisprudential terms in terminology and primary titles, as well as 27,000 sub-titles organized in a unique objective classification known as "Thesaurus."
Its features include comprehensiveness, ease of arrangement, and a streamlined style.
The State of Kuwait's tireless efforts over more than forty years (between 1965 and 2005 AD) resulted in the publication of the Encyclopaedia of Jurisprudence in its final form in forty-five large-sized volumes to include general jurisprudence research that was formulated in the style of jurisprudential terminology arranged in alphabetical order, facilitating access to jurisprudence for all who wish from a medium culture, knowing that the Encyclopaedia of Jurisprudence mostly covered the Four Schools of Jurisprudence and adopted the approach of unifying the agreed-upon jurisprudential opinions, giving them priority over the opinions that are unique to each School of Jurisprudence, and at the same time providing more evidences of the jurists, without weighting or digression, nor comparing between them, or addressing either emerging issues or fundamentalist issues.
Hundreds of eminent Islamic jurisprudence academics contributed to the creation of this Encyclopaedia of Jurisprudence.
