at-Tatawu' fi al-'Ibadat - Volunteering in Acts of Worship (harakat)
التطوع في العبادات وأحكامه - مؤسسة الدرر السنية
It is Allah's Wisdom and Mercy toward His servants that He has prescribed acts of worship for them, which He has divided into two categories: obligatory acts that He has commanded them to perform and voluntary acts (supererogatories) that He has recommended and urged them to perform in order to increase their reward and complete what is missing from the obligatory acts. In addition, He made for every obligatory act a volunteer act of its sort. Purity has a volunteer of its kind, as does prayer, fasting, charity, Hajj, and Umrah, all of which have volunteers of their own kind.
This book explains the rulings on voluntary acts of worship (purification, prayer, fasting, seclusion, charity, Hajj, Umrah, and circumambulation), which are taken from the book “Fiqh al-Ibaadaat” (the jurisprudence of worship), from the Encyclopedia of Jurisprudence, with some issues and additions revised.
The book is built like a modern Fiqh manual, listing each time the obligations, recommendations, annulments etc... In a simple and understandable style, all with the majority of the Harakats.
