In this book, Al-Qadi Iyyad, may Allah have mercy upon him, has adjusted and clarified all the confusion or ambiguity in the terms of the Hadith that were mentioned in the Sahih al-Bukhari, the Sahih Muslim and Muwatta’ Imam Malik, fixing matters that were subject to disagreement, or those in which the narrators acted by mistake or out of delusion in the Sanad (the chain of narrators of the Hadith) and Matn (the text of the Hadith). Then he arranged these ambiguous terms to discuss in alphabetical order.

This work evaluates the problematic and ambiguous expressions found in the two Sahih (authentic) books and al-Muwatta’; it explains them, and verifies the names, nicknames, genealogies, and the names of places and countries. It warns of any illusion, distortion or confusion, while comparing the narrations and warning about the differences between them, but also directing to the correct ones.

Excellent edition verified from 3 manuscripts by Sheikh Salih ash-Shami, with references for all the Hadiths.
