Sheikh 'Ali al-Tantawi is a Syrian scholar of Egyptian origin. Born in 1909 and died in 1999, he had a very rich life, indeed he was a student, journalist, judge, teacher, preacher or writer. He lived in Syria and Saudi Arabia and traveled extensively for different diplomatic missions, especially for the Palestinian cause.
His memoirs consist of many articles written over time, in which he tells his biography, from his childhood to old age, tells us anecdotes of all kinds, gives us lessons ... He also gives a lot of details on the historical events he witnessed during his life, as well as the cultures, cities and continents he knew or visited. He also spoke about the Islamic religious or political problems of the Ummah of the 20th century, indeed he was a witness and important player in the Palestinian crisis and lived during his lifetime the regained independence of all the colonized Muslim countries.
His memoirs read like a biography, a novel, a book of history ...
