Al-Fiqh al-Akbar by Imam Abu Hanifa

Al-Amr bi al-Ma'roof wa an-Nahee 'an al-Munkar...

Also known al-Ibana al-Kubra, this is a collection of ahaadeeth and Athaar on the saved group and its characteristics and those opponents, by Imaam Ibn Battah (387H).
This book is one of the origins of the fundamental books of the Sunnis and is considered as one of the encyclopedias of the traditionalist scholars regarding the Sunnah and the beliefs of the Sunnis.
And Ibn Battah, may Allah have mercy on him, followed the path of the previous scholars in his reliance on producing evidence from the Book (Quran) and the Sunnah and the traditions of this nation’s predecessors. He abstained from delving into the sciences of scholastic innovated thought, which the Sunnis unanimously condemn and warn against it and its followers.
In his defense and clarification of the belief of Ahl al-Sunnah, he supported his argument with evidence from the Book, the Sunnah, and the narrated traditions, then he distinguished himself from others, who were classified in this section, by citing an abundance of texts and scholars’ statements with good tabulation, arrangement, and commentary in brief terms. He made sure his book would not turn like some Sunnah books that are void of commentary and explanation.
