Ash-Shari'ah by imam al-Ajuree (360H)

Epistle of Imam as-San'ani (1182H) on the issue of Takfir people who practice Ta'wil without proof on the verses and hadiths. The Ta'wil is to give an interpretation to some words to distract them from their apparent meaning and thus distort the meaning. Several groups practice it on the Attributes of Allah in particular, like the Mu'tazila and the Ash'ariya.
There is a group of scholars who have made them unbelievers for this, but al-Emir as-San'ani here demonstrate the weakness of this opinion, explains why and recalls the rules to be used for this type of Takfir and that this can not be applied in the issue of Ta'wil.
Very good edition with introductory research on the author and subject, the text is checked and annotated, the hadiths are authenticated. Finally the Muhaqqiq finishes the work with several quotes from al-San'ani and al-Shawkani on the Bid'a and the Takfir.
