Kitab at-Tawhid written by a great among the Imams of the Salaf, Imam Ibn Mandah in a beautiful edition with a full Tahqiq.
The author divided this book into four sections. He discussed in the first section Tawhid ar-Rububiyyah (Oneness of Allah’s Lordship) with a lengthy explanation, then Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah (Oneness of Worship) in the second section, then Tawhid al-Asmā’ (Oneness of Allah’s Names) in the third, and then Tawhid as-Sifāt (Oneness of Allah’s Attributes) in the fourth. So he made the Oneness of Allah’s Names and Attributes into two separate sections.
In writing his book, the author followed the path of the early Traditionalists among the predecessors. Indeed, their method in writing to corroborate any belief, or to respond to the suspicions that came on a certain issue, is characterized by mentioning the texts from the Qur’an, the authentic of the Purified Sunnah and the traditions of the Companions and the Followers with their chains of authorities under headings indicating the meaning intended by the mention of that text. They would also mention statements that contradict the path followed by the predecessors, and then cite texts in which they would explain the argument against the antagonist one and respond to him.
