Scholars of the Shafi'i school of thought have made significant efforts to refute the beliefs of the Rawafidh, a sect that differs from Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunni Muslims) on fundamental doctrinal principles. These Shafi'i scholarly efforts have been documented in a valuable book titled "The Beliefs of the Rawafidh and the Refutation of Shafi'i Scholars" by the author Abdul Majeed Muhammad Abdul Majeed Ali al-Muhsi.
The book highlights, in a systematic and detailed manner, the efforts of Shafi'i scholars throughout the ages to refute and rebut the doctrinal principles of the Rawafidh, which include issues such as Imamate (leadership), infallibility, dissimulation (Taqiyya), the return (Raj'a), and other controversial matters. The book sheds light on the discussions of these Shafi'i scholars with the Rawafidh, and their arguments from the Quran, the Sunnah, and the sayings of the companions and successors of the Prophet, in order to defend the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah.
This book is an important reference for researchers in the field of Islamic theology and history, as it provides an in-depth study of the position of Shafi'i scholars on the beliefs of the Rawafidh, and contributes to a deeper understanding of the doctrinal differences between the various Islamic sects.
