This book "The Secrets of Letters" by Taj al-Qurra Abu al-Qasim Mahmoud ibn Hamza ibn Nasr al-Karmani was considered lost until a unique and precious manuscript was discovered in India. The book combines the sciences of Quranic recitation, Tajweed, and Arabic language, known as the science of the letters' meanings.
In it, the author presents individual letters with meanings: each letter is introduced along with its characteristics, origin, additions, and substitutions, indicating when it occurs as a substitution and when it occurs as an addition. After that, the author explains the rules related to these letters, supporting them with texts from verses and poetry, with his commentary. He then highlights their usage in tafseer and their impact on it.
The book is filled with explanations in footnotes by the researcher Ghanim Qaddour Al-Hamad, including commentary, and references to books of Arabic language and Quranic recitations.
Superb Saudi edition, authenticated, verified and annotated, with most of the Harakats.
