The book currently in our hands is one of the early commentaries, printed for the first time under the title: "Explanation of Ibn Al-Hajib's Abridgment on Usul," authored by the distinguished scholar, Osman bin Ali, known as Ibn Khateeb Jabreen Al-Halabi Al-Shafi'I (739 A.H.), may Allah have mercy on him.

The researcher, Dr. Amal bint Abdul Rahman bin Saleh Al-Ghufays, has meticulously researched and annotated the book, relying on a unique manuscript from the author's era. The book's methodology involves presenting Ibn Al-Hajib's words from his abridgment, followed by the commentary of Ibn Khateeb along with side headings explaining the origin of the mentioned issue. Subsequently, the researcher provides her own comments. The book is filled with comparisons between the abridgment and the original book from which it was derived ("Muntaha al-Su'al wa al-Amal"), Ibn Al-Hajib's statements in his other books, and comparisons with the commentaries of other scholars who wrote their own books about the abridgment.

The book is printed in two large volumes by Dar Taybah Al-Khadra in Mecca.
